Her involvement with student art projects, science and sports will never be forgotten she could always be found on the playground playing kickball and baseball with her students. Her family is at peace knowing she soared to heaven with an outpouring of love as she was continuously surrounded by her family and friends. Karen had a passion for art and was a talented artist who touched many with her gifts of oil paintings, crochet sweaters, and custom art projects. In addition, she spent countless Saturday nights with her mother cheering for her son, Don Camilli while he raced modified stock cars on the Petaluma Speedway. As a young mother, Karen attended night classes at Sonoma State University where she obtained her degree in Art and teaching. Although she was frail, she gave her family courage and hope that reminds them of the preciousness of life. In honor of Karens wishes, a private graveside service will be held for her immediate family at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
